
East Pounds West in MWL All-Star Game

Geneva, Ill.-The East Division All-Stars scored 13 runs over the first two innings and cruised to a 18-2 victory over the West Division All-Stars in the Midwest League All-Star Game on Tuesday. The game was hosted by the Kane County Cougars.
Dayton Dragons second baseman Ryan Wright appeared as a reserve in the game for the East Division, going 1 for 3 with a run batted in as the designated hitter.
Gerson Montilla (South Bend) and O'Koyea Dickson (Great Lakes) each hit home runs in a five-run first inning for the East. In the eight-run second, and Tyler Goeddel (Bowling Green) belted a home run and Steven Moya (West Michigan) added a three-run triple as the East jumped out to a 13-0 lead. The East finished with 20 hits in the game.
The Dragons host the Bowling Green Hot Rods on Friday at 7:05 p.m. to open the second half. The game will be televised on WHIO Digital Channel 7.2 (Time Warner channels 23 and 372). Jacob Johnson (0-1, 3.48) will start for Dayton.
