San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes return to regular-season action against the LA Galaxy tonight at 7:30 p.m. from Dignity Health Sports Park, presented by Sutter Health. The match marks the Quakes' first since returning from the MLS is Back Tournament in Orlando, Fla., in which they reached the Quarterfinals.
The Earthquakes' most recent match, scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 26 vs. the Portland Timbers, was not played due to the players' decision to stand in solidarity against racial injustice. Quakes forward Chris Wondolowski spoke at length on Thursday about the team's decision not to play.
