San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes fell 1-0 to visiting Seattle Sounders FC thanks to Fredy Montero's seventh goal of the campaign. Seattle grabbed the lead in the 26th minute when Sanna Nyassi broke down the sideline and his cross found an unmarked Montero. The Columbian took advantage of the free space and his header beat Jon Busch to give the Sounders the early advantage. That lead was able to stand up as San Jose failed to find the back of the net.
