SANDY, Utah - A week after settling for a disappointing tie in front of the Rio Tinto Stadium faithful, Real Salt Lake got back on the winning track tonight, downing D.C. United 3-0 in a spirited match in front of 17,719 fans in Sandy. The result pushed the second longest home undefeated streak in Major League Soccer regular season play to 20 games, now just two behind the record of 22 set by the Columbus Crew (2008-09), who will be RSL's next opponent in Sandy on Saturday, August 14.

Real Salt Lake (10-4-4, 34 pts.) moved the scoreboard early on, as FW Alvaro Saborio snuck a low shot through United GK Troy Perkins from 10 yards out to give the Utahns a 1-0 advantage just before a quarter-hour had expired. While D.C. United (3-12-3, 12 pts.) was able to create some danger on quick counter-attacks during the middle of the contest, it was RSL pressing the issue for most of the night. That attacking pressure would pay off late for the Claret-and-Cobalt, as FW Robbie Findley would notch an insurance tally in the 79th minute, while MF Nelson Gonzalez - making his return from injury - scored his first career MLS goal on a beautiful chip in stoppage time.
