
Earthquakes Academy Goalkeeper, Alamo Native JT Marcinkowski Called to United States U-18 Duty

SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose Earthquakes Academy goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski was called to United States U-18 Men's National Team duty on Tuesday ahead of the Copa del Atlantico that runs from Jan. 30 - Feb. 8 in Las Palmas, Spain.
The USA is making its first appearance in the prestigious tournament. The Americans open play against Spain on Tuesday, Feb. 4 before facing Argentina on Wednesday, Feb. 5 and the host Canary Islands on Friday, Feb. 7.
Marcinkowski, 16, has represented the U.S. National Team at various levels from 2010-13. The Alamo, Calif. native attends De La Salle High School and is the top-ranked goalkeeper in the nation for the class of 2015, according to TopDrawerSoccer.com. Marcinkowski has participated in the 2012 and 2013 Academy Select Game at the U.S. Soccer Academy Winter Showcase and received All-West Conference honors in 2011-12. He is one of four players on the U.S. roster from an MLS academy team.
