North Augusta, SC - The Charleston Riverdogs (Tampa Bay Rays) only needed five innings to get a 7-0 win over the GreenJackets on Friday evening. The game was called because of rain after five frames.
Charleston has now won three consecutive games and improves to 18-11 on the year. The Jackets drop to 12-17 and will look for the series split tomorrow afternoon.
In the third inning, Charleston hit for the cycle as a team. Heriberto Hernandez doubled and Curtis Mead singled. A triple from Diego Infante made it 2-0. Jonathan Embry hit a sacrifice fly to add on. It was 3-0. Nick Schnell capped off the inning with a solo home run to make it 4-0.
Charleston came back in the following frame to score three more runs. Johan Lopez and Embry each had doubles in the inning. Brett Wisely also had an RBI single.
Taj Bradley was dealing for Charleston. The right-hander tossed five innings of scoreless baseball and finished the night with 10 strikeouts.
Miguel Pena entered for Augusta in the 6th inning and after he walked Hernandez to start the inning, the game went into a rain delay and was eventually called because of rain.

Victor De Hoyos collected his first hit of the season in the 5th.
