Brandon Wheat Kings News Release
Brandon, MB. -- The Brandon Wheat Kings' Early Bird Season Ticket Deadline has come and gone with the Western Hockey League club announcing that close to 1,700 having been sold for the 2012-13 season.
With just over three weeks to sell during this year's Early Bird campaign - due to this spring's lease negotiations with the Keystone Centre - the hockey club failed to match last year's record number of 2,013. However, in what turned out to be a very busy week, the Wheat Kings sold seven hundred including over 500 during the final 48 hours.
All fans that have purchased for the upcoming season will now have the opportunity to take advantage of this week's "Seat Moving Day ", which has been scheduled for 9am on Tuesday, June 19th.
All seats that were not guaranteed by Friday's Early Bird Deadline will be available at that time.
Season Ticket sales to the general public will resume Wednesday, June 20th and fans can order by phone at 726-3535 or by stopping in to the Wheat Kings' office, located at the Keystone Centre.
Following are the Season Ticket prices for 2012-13:
Adults: $425
Seniors: $375
Youth (18 and under) $200
The Wheat Kings sold well over 2,900 season tickets last season and averaged over 4,100 fans per home game. At just over $12 per game, an adult season ticket will save fans $8 off the regular box office admission price.
