Wednesday, January 31 Eagles 5 vs. Youngstown SteelHounds 2
The Colorado Eagles ended their two-game losing skid Wednesday night with a 5-2 victory over the Youngstown SteelHounds at the Budweiser Events Center. The Eagles have never lost to the SteelHounds as they are now 6-0 in two seasons. The game was filled with penalties from start to finish and special teams was the difference as Colorado killed all 13 of Youngstown's power plays while they scored on one power play opportunity. Four different Eagles' players had multiple point games led by Brad Williamson's three assists and Ryan Tobler's two goals. Former Eagles player Garrett Larson played in his first game back at the BEC as an opposing player and scored both of the SteelHounds goals in the loss.
Friday, February 2 Eagles 1 at Oklahoma City Blazers 4
The Eagles were defeated Friday night by the Oklahoma City Blazers 4-1 at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City. The Blazers scored three power play goals in the first two periods and that was all they would need as they beat the Eagles for the second straight time in regulation. Four different Blazers scored while Brad Williamson had the Eagles lone goal on the night. Colorado skated with just 13 players in the game and only three true defensemen. The Eagles are now 1-7-0 this season when they fail to scored at least three goals.
Saturday, February 3 Eagles 4 at Wichita Thunder 3 - SO
The Colorado Eagles, led by the goaltending of Tim Boron, beat the Wichita Thunder 4-3 in a shootout Saturday night at the Kansas Coliseum. Boron saved 36 of 39 shots and stopped all five chances in the shootout for his 11th win and Sebastien Laplante was equally impressive in net for the Thunder saving 45 of 48 shots in the loss. Ryan Tobler scored the game-tying goal with 4:45 to go in regulation and added an assist as the Eagles improved their record to 32-9-0 for 64 points.

Tuesday, February 6 vs. New Mexico Scorpions, 7:05 p.m. MST Radio: 107.9 The Bear
The Scorpions come to town riding a six-game winning streak which is tied for the longest current streak in the CHL right now. The last time New Mexico came to the Budweiser Events Center they were riding a three-game winning streak before the Eagles beat them 5-3 on January 20th. This is the sixth meeting of the season and the Eagles have won all five previous games by a combined score of 28-15. Riley Nelson leads all point scorers in the series with 10 points (4-6-10) in five games. Lance Herauf leads the Scorpions in scoring against the Eagles with 7 points on two goals and five assists in five games. The teams will play one more game this season on March 23rd at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
Wednesday, February 7 vs. Memphis RiverKings, 7:05 p.m. MST Radio: 107.9 The Bear
The Eagles and RiverKings meet for the second and final time this season. Memphis ended the Eagles CHL-record 15-game winning streak on January 12th in a 5-4 victory at the DeSoto Civic Center. Colorado is 6-6-0 all-time against the RiverKings and 3-2-0 at the Budweiser Events Center. This is a match-up of the top two teams in the Central Hockey League.
Saturday, February 10 at Rocky Mountain Rage, 7:05 p.m. MST Radio: 107.9 The Bear
The Rage will host the Eagles for the sixth and final time at the Broomfield Event Center and it is the 11th of 12 meetings this season. Colorado is 8-2-0 against the Rage this season and they have won the last five meetings. Riley Nelson leads all point scorers in the series with 17 points (8-9-17) in 10 games while Mark Wires leads the Rage in scoring with four goals and four assists in 10 games.
Sunday, February 11 at Amarillo Gorillas, 4:00 p.m. MST Radio: 107.9 The Bear
Colorado heads to Amarillo for their final meeting of the season and only one at the Amarillo Civic Center. Colorado swept a weekend series against the Gorillas on December 8th and 9th. The Eagles are 11-4-1 all-time against the Gorillas, however they are just 3-4-0 at the Amarillo Civic Center. This is the second of three Sunday games for the Eagles, the final Sunday game is on March 18th against the Youngstown SteelHounds.

TEAM LEADERS- The Eagles are leading the Central Hockey League in numerous categories, they lead in goals (158), assists (264), points (422), PIMS (1297), minors (446), majors (55), power play goals (63) and shorthanded goals (24).
FINALLY, A SHOOTOUT- The Eagles played in their first shootout game of the season on Saturday night against the Wichita Thunder, it marked the longest stretch to start an Eagles season (41 games). Colorado beat Wichita in the shootout to move their overtime/shootout record to 3-0 this season. Riley Nelson scored the only goal in the shootout and Tim Boron stopped all five of Wichita's chances in the win.
ROAD STRETCH- After the home games on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Eagles will embark on the toughest stretch of the season. Colorado will play 13 of their final 21 games on the road. They play just four home games in March compared to eight road games. Eight of the Eagles final 10 games will be on the road.
