
Eagles Re-Sign Penalty Minute Leader Teigan Zahn

WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles announced Monday that they have re-signed Teigan Zahn for the 2015-16 season. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound defenseman led the Eagles with 298 penalty minutes during the 2014-15 campaign, which was also good for the second-most penalty minutes in the entire ECHL. Additionally, his 64 minor penalties were tops in the league, while his 22 major penalties were good for 4th in the ECHL. Zahn also registered 20 points on the season, while finishing with a plus/minus rating of plus-12.
Drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 5th round of the 2008 NHL draft, Zahn has amassed 51 points and 512 PIM's in 152 ECHL games, including stints with the Stockton Thunder in 2012-13 and Utah Grizzlies in 2013-14. Zahn has played in 13 AHL games after seeing action with both the Oklahoma City Barons and Norfolk Admirals.
He also competed in the developmental camps of both the Blackhawks in 2008 and 2009 and the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2011.
