Bakersfield Condors News Release
CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Colorado Eagles (24-16-1-4, 53pts) rallied with three late goals to defeat the Bakersfield Condors (10-32-4-1, 25pts) at Rabobank Arena Saturday night.
The Condors surrendered the first goal of the game just over four minutes in, but bounced back. LW Jesse Gimblett hammered in his 13th of the season on a 2-on-1 feed from F Tyler Helfrich at 12:33. Then in the final minute of the period, D Erik Burgdoerfer fired home his fourth of the season to make it 2-1 Condors.
A back and forth second frame yielded just one tally, as F Kevin Ulanski picked up a loose puck and rifled home a shot over G Bryan Pitton to tie it up at 2-2. Condors led in shots 10-9 in the period, but G Kyle Jones was equal to the task.
Bakersfield regained the lead 4:46 into the final period, with F Peter Boyd netting his ninth of the season to make it 3-2. But after that, the Eagles reeled off three unanswered tallies to cruise past the Condors. All three goals were set up by F Kevin Ulanski.
