Colorado Eagles News Release
WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles, proud affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, announced Thursday that they have signed forward Ryan Harrison to a Standard Player Contract. Harrison made his professional debut with Oloftroms IK in Sweden during the 2015-16 season, posting 16 goals and 21 assists in 34 games.
"I'm very excited to be coming to an organization that I have only heard great things about," said Harrison. "Knowing what a quality team they are putting together and the fan base that they have in Colorado, I can't wait."
The 5-foot-10, 185-pound center spent two seasons at the University of Calgary, registering 12 goals and 26 assists in 51 games with the Dinos. Prior to moving to the collegiate level, the Vernon, British Columbia native played five seasons in the WHL with the Prince Albert Raiders, Medicine Hat Tigers and Everett Silvertips. In 325 WHL games Harrison amassed 225 points, including 79 goals. He also attended the rookie camp of the Vancouver Canucks in 2011.
"Ryan is a gritty, two-way forward that not only can play an abrasive style, but also has the skill set to be a point producer at this level," said Eagles head coach Aaron Schneekloth.
Season tickets for the 2016-17 season are on-sale now and can be reserved with a $50 deposit per seat by calling the Eagles ticket office at 970-686-SHOT (7468).
