
Dynamo Look to Extend Home Unbeaten Run against Columbus on Sunday

HOUSTON, TX (Friday, August 17, 2012) - The Houston Dynamo will aim to extend their home unbeaten streak to 21 games on Sunday, when they face the Columbus Crew in a match presented by Degree for Men. Tickets are still available at www.HoustonDynamo.com, by calling (713) 276-GOAL or at the stadium box office (2200 Texas St., Houston) from 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Friday and noon through kickoff on Sunday.
Sunday's match, slated to kick off at 8:00 p.m., will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Houston and MultiMedios 43. Fans can also listen to the game broadcast on SportsTalk 790 AM and La Ranchera 850 AM (Spanish).
Houston is 11-6-7 (40 points) after 24 games and in third place in the Eastern Conference, three points behind conference leader Sporting Kansas City. The Crew are 8-8-5 (29 points) through 21 games and in seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings.
The Orange are 8-0-3 at BBVA Compass Stadium since its May 12 opening. Houston has not lost a home game in over a year, with their last home defeat coming on June 18, 2011 against Columbus. The Dynamo are unbeaten in 20-consecutive home games (playoffs included), the longest unbeaten streak in franchise history and third longest in MLS history.
Sunday is the final meeting of the regular season between Houston and Columbus. The clubs drew 2-2 in the first encounter, April 21 at Crew Stadium.
Dynamo goalkeeper Tally Hall has 10 shutouts on the season. With one more shutout, Hall will tie Pat Onstad, who set a franchise record with 11 shutouts in 2007.
Hall is tied for the league lead in shutouts with Jimmy Nielsen of Sporting Kansas City. Hall and the Dynamo have recorded six shutouts in their last eight games and have outscored opponents 15-4 since June 30.
Dynamo head coach Dominic Kinnear has 111 career MLS regular season wins and will tie Steve Nicol for fourth on the league's all-time list with his next victory.
