Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
Dust Devils Suffer First Sweep of the Season For the first time since the 2014 campaign the Tri-City Dust Devils (1-5, 20-24) were swept as the team fell to the Vancouver Canadians (3-3, 19-25) on Sunday afternoon 3-1 at Nat Bailey Stadium. Tri-City will have the next three days off for the All-Stark break before returning to Gesa Stadium Thursday to start an eight-game homestand. For the third straight day the Dust Devils ended the game with more hits than Vancouver, but could not come away with the win. Despite being swept Tri-City had 16 more hits in the series. Will Headean had a solid performance, but still suffered the loss for the Dust Devils. Headean allowed three runs, two them earned, in 6.1 innings of work. G.K. Young drove in the only run of the game for Tri-City. Young's two-out single in the sixth inning was the only scoring opportunity the Dust Devils could capitalize over the course of the afternoon. It will be License Plate Frame Giveaway Night presented by Lourdes Health in the team's first game back after the break on Thursday. Great seats are available by calling the Dust Devils' front office at (509) 544-8789 or by going to www.dustdevilsbaseball.com to purchase tickets.
