MILWAUKEE (Dec. 10, 2009) - Milwaukee Wave co-captain Troy Dusosky was named Major Indoor Soccer League Defensive Player of the Month for November, the league announced today.

Dusosky, in his ninth season with the Wave and 15th overall, helped lead the team's fourth shutout in its 26-year history, 15-0 at Monterrey on Nov. 22. Five days later in Rockford, Dusosky scored a pair of 2-point restart goals and blocked two shots, but the Wave fell to the Rampage 9-8.

Dusosky was named first-team All-Xtreme Soccer League last season, and is sixth on the Wave's career blocks list with 289.

Other November selections were Baltimore's Lucio as the offensive player and Rockford's Danny Waltman as the goalkeeper.

The Wave (1-2) host Philadelphia (1-2) at 6 p.m. Saturday. Daryl Stuermer-Genesis Rewired plays a free postgame concert, and the first 5,000 fans receive a gemstone certificate from Robert Haack Jewelers. In addition, the Salvation Army will collect new hats and mittens, tossed on the field by fans after the first Wave goal.

The Milwaukee Wave professional indoor soccer team is the longest-running soccer franchise in continuous operation in the United States. The team celebrated its Silver Anniversary last season, and operates the largest summer soccer camp program in Wisconsin. For more information, visit milwaukeewave.com.
