DUNEDIN, Fla. - The Tampa Tarpons (28-27) were held scoreless for the fifth time this season as the Blue Jays (21-31) tied the series with a 4-0 win on Saturday night at Dunedin Stadium.

All four Dunedin runs scored in the first inning off RHP Albert Abreu .

Eduard Pinto doubled and Kevin Smith walked to start the inning. Bradley Jones, and Albert Mineo followed with back-to-back RBI singles.

One out later, Riley Adams hit a ground ball and third baseman Mandy Alvarez made an errant throw into right field, allowing Jones to score. Mineo then crossed the plate while Joshua Palacios beat out a double play. A single and a walk loaded the bases before Pinto popped out to end the inning.

Abreu bounced back with a perfect second inning. Blue Jays reloaded the bases in the third with a hit-batter, single and walk, but another pop out by Pinto ended the threat.

Jones tripled in front of a pair of walks in the fourth. RHP Brian Trieglaff entered with two outs and got Palacios to ground into a fielder's choice to leave the bases loaded.

Abreu (L, 2-2) allowed four runs (two earned) on six hits and two hit-batters in three and two-third innings. The righty walked four, struck out three and threw 49 of 84 pitches for strikes.

Patrick Murphy (W, 3-4) logged his first scoreless outing of the season, shutting out the Tarpons for five innings. The right-hander scattered four hits and three walks while striking out six and threw 51 of 87 pitches for strikes.

RHP Andy Ravel relieved Murphy and retired six of the seven batters he faced, yielding a hit while striking out one in a pair of shutout innings. LHP Jake Fishman struck out two in a perfect eighth and RHP Jackson McClelland added two punch outs in a 1-2-3 ninth.

Trieglaff held the Blue Jays to one hit while striking out two in two and a third innings. RHP Matt Frawley worked around three hits while striking out four in a pair of scoreless frames.

Kellin Deglan (2-for-3, 2B) had the lone multi-hit game for Tampa. Ben Ruta (0-for-2, 2BB) reached twice, but snapped a seven-game hitting streak. Kyle Holder (1-for-4) singled in his first game back with Tampa.

The series will be decided in the finale on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. RHP Garrett Whitlock (0-0, 0.00) will be activated off the disabled list to make the start against LHP Angel Perdomo (0-2, 1.74). Live play-by-play audio will be available on the Tarpons Radio Network.
