(York, Pa.) - The Long Island Ducks defeated the York Revolution 14-3 on Friday night in the second game of a four-game series at PeoplesBank Park.

The Ducks jumped out to a 2-0 lead with single runs in the first and second inning off Revolution starter Dominic Severino. David Washington's RBI single and Dan Lyons' RBI double did the damage. Long Island then extended the lead to 10 with an eight-run third inning. RBI singles by Lyons and Jordany Valdespin, a two-run single for Taylor Ard and a three-run home run to left-center by Travis Snider, all with two outs, highlighted the inning.

The Revolution closed to within 10-2 in the fifth on Ryan Dent's two-out, two-run double to right-center off Ducks starter Jair Jurrjens. However, Ramon Cabrera's RBI double and Cody Puckett's RBI single in the sixth pushed the lead back up to 10. Snider scored on a wild pitch and Cabrera lifted a sacrifice fly to right in the eighth to round out the scoring four Long Island.

Jurrjens (3-2) went the distance for a complete game win, tossing all nine innings and allowing just three runs (two earned) on seven hits and no walks while striking out five. Severino (2-3) suffered the loss, surrendering nine runs on 10 hits and one walk in two and two-thirds innings.

Every Ducks batter reached base safely in the game, with eight of the nine recording at least one hit and seven collected at least one RBI and one run scored. Washington led the Flock with three hits, while Snider had two hits, three RBIs and three runs.
