
Ducks custom plates now available

(Central Islip, N.Y., October 7, 2004) â The Long Island Ducks, in conjunction with the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, today announced the availability of Long Island Ducks custom license plates for fans of the team. Seventeen dollars of the sale of each plate will aid the QuackerJack Foundation, the arm of the team founded by principal owner Frank Boulton in 2003 that benefits various Long Island charities.
"We're happy to be able to offer our fans this unique opportunity," said Boulton. "And we are pleased that partial proceeds from the sale of these plates will go to such a worthwhile cause."

Fans can also obtain an order form by visiting www.liducks.com and clicking on the custom plate icon located on the site's front page. The initial cost of a standard Long Island Ducks custom plate is $60; the annual renewal fee is $25, which is in addition to the regular registration fee. The initial cost of a personalized Long Island Ducks custom plate is $85; the annual renewal fee is $50, which is in addition to the regular registration fee. Personalization is limited to six characters (or to five characters if the plate will have the International Symbol of Access on it).
The Long Island Ducks, 2004 Atlantic League Champions, play their home games at Citibank Park and are celebrating their fifth anniversary season of play in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. They have filled their ballpark to over 100 percent capacity for five consecutive seasons and are one of the most successful minor league franchises in the country.
