Inter Miami CF News Release
This past Sunday, Dec. 10 presented another evening of international fútbol at DRV PNK Stadium, with a thrilling South American matchup between Colombia and Venezuela taking center stage at Inter Miami CF's home ground. In the end, Los Cafeteros claimed a 1-0 win over La Vinotinto in the friendly.
The night featured numerous activations for fans to partake in at DRV PNK Stadium, while also being able to enjoy the national anthems being performed by musical artists Llane (Colombia) and Mario Cáceres (Venezuela).
The fixture between the neighboring countries presented a first matchup between the teams in South Florida since 2018 and offered fans a new opportunity to witness South American national teams in action at DRV PNK Stadium. Los Cafeteros played a third friendly at the venue, with Colombia earning a 2-1 win over Honduras in January 2022 and defeated fellow South American side Paraguay 2-0 in November of that same year. Venezuelan fans, meanwhile, were able to watch La Vinotinto playing at Inter Miami CF's home ground for the first time.
Prior to the match, both teams trained at the state-of-the-art Florida Blue Training Center during the week leading up to the game. The facility consists of a 50,000-square-foot training facility in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which boasts six natural grass fields and one turf for the development of professional and youth players. DRV PNK Stadium is located just across the street.
