A three-run seventh inning broke a 3-3 tie and propelled the Winston-Salem Dash ( to a 6-4 win and their fifth victory of the week over the Greenville Drive (20-27, 56-57) Saturday night.

The loss marked the Drive's longest losing streak of the season and put them on the verge of being swept in a six-game series for the the first time this season. It also marked the first time they dropped below .500 on the season since May 20 when they held an 18-19 record.

Greenville and Winston-Salem went back and forth on the night, each trading three runs of the other's respective starter: the Drive's Luis Perales and the Dash's Mason Adams.

The Dash struck early as Michael Turner knocked an RBI-double to take a 1-0 lead before Nick Decker slapped his sixth homer of the year to right centerfield to knot the game at 1-1 in the second inning.

DJ Gladney added his fourth homer of the week in the third while Jacob Burke's ground out into a double play was enough to get Taishi Nakawake home in the fourth to make it 3-1. Perales would ultimately exit after the fourth, allowing three runs on six hits, walking five and striking out six.

The Drive clawed back, however, getting Max Ferguson home on a Decker groundout in the fifth, and a Ronald Rosario sacrifice fly in the sixth that score Gilberto Jimenez to knot the game at 3-3.

But the Dash did their damage in the sixth, battering reliever Joey Stock in his third inning of work. Brooks Baldwin slapped a home run into the batter's eye in center field to lead off the inning before back-to-back walks forced the Drive to go to the bullpen.

Felix Cepeda relieved Stock giving up a sacrifice fly and a tossing a wild pitch to cap the scoring, though both runs would be attributed to Stock keeping a scoreless streak for Cepeda at nine games across 14.0 innings.

Tyler Miller responded with a sacrifice fly in the eight to cut the lead to 6-4 with the Drive threatening to mount a comeback as they loaded the bases with two outs in the inning. But Alex Erro would ground out to end the inning and keep the lead intact.

The Drive would get the tying run to the plate in the top of the ninth, but fall short, giving the Dash their fifth straight win.

The Greenville Drive (Boston Red Sox) return to action on Sunday, August 20 at 2:00 p.m. against the Winston-Salem Dash (Chicago White Sox). The Dash clinched a series victory and currently lead the series 5-0.
