Drew Locke Earns BC Powder SAL Hitter of the Week

Columbus, GA - Catfish OF Drew Locke was named the BC Powder South Atlantic League Hitter of the Week for the week of May 22 through 28. During that time he was 14-for-27 (.519) with seven extra-base hits, 10 RBI and 10 runs. He hit safely in each of seven games and started the week with three straight three-hit games.

During an ongoing 14-game hitting streak Locke has boosted his average from .307 to .353, good for second in the SAL. He has a league leading 42 RBI in 44 games played.

Columbus will wrap up a four-game series with the Rome Braves Tuesday at 7:00pm. Then the Catfish head to Charleston for four games with the RiverDogs. Golden Park will host the next home series June 5 through 11 against the Savannah Sand Gnats and the Rome Braves.
