
Dream Forward Cierra Burdick Has Successful Surgery

ATLANTA (August 5, 2015) - Atlanta Dream forward Cierra Burdick underwent successful surgery on Wednesday morning at Emory Hospital in Atlanta to repair a stress fracture in her left foot.
Burdick's rehabilitation is expected to last four to six weeks.
Prior to the injury, which was suffered at Chicago on July 21, Burdick was averaging 4.4 points and 3.2 rebounds. She appeared in 11 games and made four starts after signing with Atlanta on June 17.
The three-time Eastern Conference Champion Atlanta Dream is in its eighth season in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).
The Dream plays their home games at Philips Arena. Atlanta has qualified for the playoffs in each of the past six seasons, winning conference titles in 2013, 2011 and 2010.
