Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Lake County Captains (affiliate of the Cleveland Indians) in the second game of a four-game series. The Dragons have won their last two games after dropping their first three.
Last night: Monday: Dayton 3, Lake County 2. On a night that will be remembered for the Full-Season debut of Reds 2017 first round draft pick Hunter Greene, the Dragons erased an early 2-0 deficit to win the series opener. Greene struck out eight batters over three innings while allowing five hits and two runs, throwing the first three pitches of his season at 100 mph. Austin Orewiler tossed four shutout innings of relief to earn the win.
The Dragons have held a lead in four of their five games.
The Dragons are tied for the league lead in stolen bases with nine. Miles Gordon leads the team with four, tied for second in the MWL.
The Dragons team batting average of .242 is one point better than the current league average of .241.
Dragons pitchers have allowed just two runs in each of the last two games after giving up 24 in the first three. Dragons relievers have not allowed a run in the last two games covering 9.2 innings.
