Tijuana Dragons News Release
Tijuana, MX. The ABA Tijuana Dragons introduced themselves and the 2006-2007 ABA league to the media at a press conference held this Thursday at their home, the Municipal Auditorium of Tijuana, Mexico.
Carlos Atilano, CEO of the Dragons, declared that the season for the Dragons will start on November 19th with a visit to the San Diego Wildcats. Atilano said that he expects a great rivalry between Tijuana and San Diego as well as against Mexicali, Mexico, both new ABA expansion teams, because of the short distance between the cities and the great fans that each team will have.
Atilano stated that the first five games of the season for the Dragons will be on the road and that the inaugural home game will be Thursday, December 7th when Tijuana hosts the Bellingham Slam. The late start for the team is caused by them wrapping up their LNBP schedule, "but we will catch up quickly and play a lot of games." The team will have their tryouts on Nov 12-14 and will present their whole roster on November 15th.
