Dragons Announce Roster Changes

Dayton Dragons News Release


DAYTON, OHIO-The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster changes today:

Infielder/outfielder Spencer Dickinson has been placed on the disabled list with a strained left forearm.

Infielder Sammy Diaz has been promoted to Dayton from the Billings Mustangs (Pioneer League).

The Dragons roster remains at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.

Diaz played shortstop, second base, and center field at Billings. He appeared in 17 games, batting .219 with no home runs and six runs batted in. Diaz also played for Billings last season, batting .299 in 38 games. He played in six games with the Dragons at the end of the 2010 season, going 2 for 17. Diaz is a 21 year old native of Venezuela.

Dickinson appeared in two games with the Dragons, going 2 for 8 (.250).

The Dragons play at Burlington tonight at 7:30 p.m. EDT. The next home game is Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. vs. Clinton at Fifth Third Field.
