Dr. Lori's Antique Appraisal Night
September 19, 2005 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hershey Bears News Release
Not your typical antique appraisal event. You'll have fun even if your treasures are trash!
Bring your art, antiques, and questions to art historian, certified art and antiques appraiser, and TV personality Dr. Lori for Dr. Lori's Antique Appraisal Night at the GIANT Center as the Norfolk Admirals take on the Hershey Bears on January 29, 2006 at 5 p.m.
As seen locally on Comcast CN8 TV's "Real Life", "Money Matters Today", and "Your Morning" programs from Maine to Virginia, Dr. Lori also appears on CBS TV's "Trash or Treasure?" in Philadelphia, PA and on ABC WNEP TV 16's "Home & Backyard". At Dr. Lori's Antique Appraisal Night each fan receives one free antique appraisal from Dr. Lori with each game ticket. Gates open at 3:15 p.m.
More than just a value for your flea market find, if you haven't attended one of Dr. Lori's events, you'll be surprised when you laugh out loud even if your treasure turns out to be trash!
Don't expect to hear the typical hocus pocus stories about antiques! Receive honest and accurate values and correct historical information for your family heirlooms and yard sale finds from Dr. Lori as she entertains you and evaluates your items. Dr. Lori is not an antique dealer and thus, not your typical art & antiques appraiser having earned a Ph.D. in art history and worked in major museums.
You'll have fun while learning about the scams of the art & antiques world and how auctions and museums really work.
In February 2005, a couple brought Dr. Lori a $.5 million Tiffany lamp to her event in Bloomsburg, PA. Nobody thinks that they or grandma have valuable items in their house, but after reviewing more than 20,000 objects every year, Dr. Lori knows that "You have the Stuff!" and she will tell you the truth about your items!
