Doubleheader Postponed

Trenton Thunder News Release


(Trenton, NJ) - Wednesday night's doubleheader between the Trenton Thunder, the Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, and Harrisburg Senators (affiliate of the Washington Nationals) was postponed due to rain.

Fans with tickets to the game may exchange them for tickets of equal or lesser value to another 2009 Thunder regular season home game, subject to availability. Ticket stubs may be presented in person at the Thunder Ticket Office at Waterfront Park starting at 9:30 AM on Thursday, July 30.

One of the games will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, July 30 starting at 6:05 PM. The second game will be made up as part of a doubleheader when Harrisburg returns to Trenton August 7th through 9th. The date of the make-up doubleheader is to be determined. All of the games of the doubleheaders will be 7-inning games. Thursday's doubleheader will feature postgame fireworks courtesy of the Bucks County Courier Times.

The Thunder have announced that all kids will eat for free at Waterfront Park all season long. All children with a ticket, ages 12 and under, will receive a voucher upon entering the ballpark good for a free hot dog, bag of potato chips, and a 12 oz. fountain soda at all 71 Thunder home games this season.

The Thunder are the only team in Minor League Baseball history at the Double A Level or below to draw over 400,000 fans for 14 consecutive seasons and have drawn over 6 million in attendance in its 15-year history.
