Dorados to have Tryouts in Dallas/Fort Worth

DORADOS ANNOUNCE DALLAS-FORT WORTH TRYOUT CAMP

DORADOS SCHEDULE SECOND CAMP OUTSIDE THE VALLEY

HIDALGO, TX: February 10, 2004 – The Rio Grande Valley Dorados of arenafootball2 (af2) have scheduled player tryouts on Saturday, February 28th at Hurst-Euless-Bedford's Pennington Field (1649 Central) in Bedford, Texas. Registration will start at 1:00 p.m. and tryouts will begin at 2:00 p.m..

The cost to register for the tryout is $40 and is non-refundable. Payments for registration will only be accepted in the form of cash or money order. No credit cards or checks will be accepted.

Camp participants will be evaluated by Dorados Head Coach Gary Gussman and Offensive Coordinator Rodney Blackshear, who will be analyzing player abilities in several drills. Drills wills include 40-yard dashes, short shuttle, and broad and/or vertical jumps. Athletes are encouraged to bring athletic attire for the camp and a pair of tennis or artificial turf shoes for on-field training (field is artificial turf). Players will seek an invitation to the Dorados Training Camp, which begins mid-March with 35 invitees seeking to make a 21-man roster. This is the second camp held by the Dorados outside the Rio Grande Valley. The Dorados held a camp in the Rio Grande Valley on January 17th and have one scheduled for February 14th in Houston.
