LAREDO, Texas – The Laredo Law announced today that they've been assigned wide receiver / defensive back Terrance Minor by the arenafootball2 league office. Minor becomes the first player in the history of the Law franchise which debuts this spring. The Law will play a 16-game regular season that is spread out over 18 weeks. The Law af2 season begins on the road on April 3rd. The home opener is set for April 23rd at the Laredo Entertainment Center. "I watched Terrance play his whole career at UTEP," said Law head coach and El Paso native Scot Maynard. "I have always been impressed by his athletic ability and the skills he brings to the field. He has the capability to be a two way player for the Law. Most importantly he is a good person and has great character. He is the type of player you want to have on your team and in the locker room."

Minor was a part of the UTEP Western Athletic Conference championship team in 2000 and played in the Humanitarian Bowl. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.46 seconds, but brings more than just speed to the Law.

"I try to be a smart player," said Minor. "I go full speed all the time, and try to contribute anyway that I can, whether it's by being physical or thru the finesse part of the game."

The 24 year old is married to his wife Andrea and they have five children: sons Christopher, DeVante and Terrance Jr., and daughters Cameron and Ebonie.

"I am excited for this opportunity to get back into football," said Minor. "Sitting out a year made me that much hungrier to play the game. I am very thankful that Coach Maynard has given me this chance to play."

Minor grew up in Chicago, IL, but played his High School football in Houston for Houston Robert E. Lee. He was second team all-city as a wide receiver and a first team all-district selection in both football and basketball.

After his senior season, in which he led UTEP with 41 receptions for seven TDs and 630 yards, he participated in the 2003 Paradise Bowl. The All-Star game allows prospects from the West and Midwest to showcase their talents for scouts. In his UTEP career had 70 catches for 1043 yards and 10 TDs. He majored in Criminal Justice and is 19 hours from completion of his degree.
