Dominick Goodman Earns All-AFL Offensive Team Honors
August 2, 2012 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Cleveland Gladiators News Release
CLEVELAND - Gladiators wide receiver Dominick Goodman was named second-team All-Arena by the Arena Football League office today. Goodman is the third receiver in franchise history to earn All-Arena honors after Otis Amey was second-team in 2008 and Ben Nelson was first-team in 2010.
Goodman (6-1, 210, Cincinnati) played in 17 games and collected 170 catches for 1,782 yards and 35 total touchdowns in 2012. His 10.0 catches per game were the top mark in the AFL this season, while his 104.8 receiving yards per game were good for eighth-best in the league in 2012. His 170 grabs set a new franchise single-season record and were just two behind the overall league leader this year, Iowa's Jessie Schmidt.
"Dominick was a guy that we were really able to rely on night in and night out all year long this past season," said Gladiators Head Coach Steve Thonn. "His hard work for this year started almost immediately after the last season ended and I'm very pleased for him that he was recognized for it."
