
Capozzoli Voted National Guard MVP of Quarterfinals

CHICAGO - Jacksonville Sharks K MARCO CAPOZZOLI has been named National Guard MVP of the Week for his performance in the AFL Quarterfinals, as voted on by fans.
Capozzoli (6-1, 210, Montclair State) connected on a 51-yard field goal as time expired to give the Sharks a 58-56 victory over the Georgia Force. The field goal was the longest in Jacksonville franchise history and of the 2012 AFL season.
Other candidates for the award included Philadelphia Soul QB Dan Raudabaugh and Utah Blaze QB Tommy Grady.
The Sharks take on the Philadelphia Soul in the American Conference Championship on NFL Network's broadcast of "NET10 Arena Football Friday" on Friday, August 3. The winner will punch a ticket to AVITAE ArenaBowl XXV in New Orleans on Friday, August 10. Kickoff for the American Conference title game is set for 8 p.m. ET in Philadelphia.
