The Niagara IceDogs are proud to announce that they have donated $19,030 to the Canadian Cancer Society through the proceeds of our annual Pink in the Rink Game.

On January 26th the Dogs' wore specialty Pink in the Rink jerseys. After the game these one-of-a-kind jerseys were auctioned off in support of the Canadian Cancer Society, with funds specifically going towards women's cancer research in the Niagara Region. IceDogs forwards Ben Jones and Bradey Johnson, as well as defencemen Elijah Roberts and Billy Constantinou all saw their jerseys go for an impressive $1,000 each. Funds were also donated from the sale of pink toques and hats sold in the retail store over the course of the 2017-18 season.

In addition, approximately $5,000 was raised on game night through the collection of loose change and the sale of Pink in the Rink merchandise, bringing the total raised for the event to an impressive $25,000.

Michelle Begin, Community Fundraising Specialist with the Canadian Cancer Society joined Niagara IceDogs Owners Bill and Denise Burke for a cheque presentation this afternoon (see photo above).

The IceDogs would like to send a special thank you to Luke Pasmore of Luke's Auctions who donates his time to help our Live Auctions be so successful. Additionally, the Dogs would like thank our great fans who continue to support our community initiatives and make these donations possible.
