Vero Beach Devil Rays News Release
The Vero Beach Dodgers downed the Palm Beach Cardinals 5-2 Friday night at Holman Stadium. Xavier Paul drove in two runs and reached base four times, while Anthony Raglani hit his 14th home run of the season. Chuck Tiffany dealt five scoreless innings to record his team-leading 10th win. The series continues Saturday night at 7:00 PM.
Despite 12 hits and two walks Thursday, the Dodgers failed to score. They wasted little time on Friday, however, as Jimmy Rohan singled in Travis Denker to put the Dodgers on the board in the second inning. Jamie Hoffman later walked and Paul doubled in two runs to make it 3-0.
Chin-lung Hu's two out single scored Edwin Bellorin, who had stolen his first base of the year, in the fourth inning. Raglani's home run was a leadoff shot in the fifth. Mark Alexander pitched the ninth for his 21st save, good for third in the FSL.
