Dirt Dawgs Remain on Skid

TORRINGTON, CT. (Wednesday, June 26, 2013) The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs fell to the Torrington Titans 6-2, dropping their fourth straight game.

Torrington's (6-7) starting pitcher, Matt Quintana (Siena), had the Dirt Dawgs off balance all night. He scattered seven hits, struck out five, and allowed only two runs while earning the victory (1-0). He pitched six innings.

Wachusett (3-10) trailed the entire night, as the Titans jumped on Dalton Keck (Lipscomb University) for three runs in the first and two runs in the third.

The Dirt Dawgs outhit the Titans, 8-7, but were unable to put enough runs across the plate. They also committed three errors on the evening.

Wachusett returns to action tomorrow, June 26th, as they travel to Martha's Vineyard to take on the Sharks.
