Dirt Dawgs Fall to North Shore

The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs faced the North Shore Navigators on Sunday afternoon at Doyle Field. Before the game started, the team recognized the Doyle Field Foundation Board of Directors. They had the official ribbon cutting, recognizing the newly renovated Doyle Field. Pat LaPointe, the Director of the Leominster Department of Public Works through out the ceremonial first pitch.

North Shore scored 4 runs in the top of the second inning to take a 4-0 lead and never looked back. Pitcher Josh Desai only allowed 3 hits in 8 innings of work, and shut down the Dirt Dawg batters. The Navigators scored a run in the 3rd, 6th, and 8th innings, for a 7-0 win. Connor Ortolf took the loss for the Dirt Dawgs.

On Tuesday night the Dirt Dawgs will look for their first win as the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide make the trip down to Doyle Field for a 6:35 start.
