Muskegon Lumberjacks News Release

MUSKEGON, MI.--- Having surged into first place in the league standings by virtue of an extraordinary 12(9-1-2) month in November, the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the International Hockey League continue to reap a harvest of kudos and plaudits of the highest order.

On this date, the Lumberjacks, in conjunction with the International Hockey League, have announced two more individual league-wide award winners. For the month of November, Lumberjacks left wing JOHN DIPACE has been acclaimed MEIJER / IHL PLAYER OF THE MONTH and SEBASTIEN CENTOMO has been hailed MEIJER / IHL GOAL- TENDER OF THE MONTH.

DIPACE, 27, is enjoying the best start of his 7-year pro career in this his first full season in Muskegon. For November, the Clinton Township, MI native was utterly extraordinary, amassing 22-points in 12-games on 8-goals, 14-assists with 34-SOG and a magnificent +18 rating. During the past month, the 5-11, 190lb left wing collected scoring points in 10 of the last 11-games, including an 8-game point streak; 8(7-10-17) and 5-game goal streak; 5(5-7-12) with the latter output representing the longest achieved in the league thus far this season. He earned multiple-point scoring games in 8 of the last 11-games, topping Muskegon with that brilliant +18 rating. In 7-games, he was named one of the game's 3-Stars, capturing the IHL Player of the Week one week earlier. He authored 2-FG, 2-PPG/2-GWG, with one of those delivered in OT, and 1-UG. DiPace did not have a minus game for the month.

For the season, DiPace ranks a very close third in the IHL in league-wide scoring, behind only his two linemates, Robin Bouchard 18(15-16-31) and Todd Robinson 18(9-22-31); with 30-points in 18-games on 10-goals, 20-assists and a league-best +24 rating. He ranks #2 in the league in both total assists (20) and PP/assists (8). Remarkably, he has been a plus player in 16 of his team's last 17-games and has experienced a mere one minus game all season long

As for CENTOMO, the 28-year-old backbone backstop seemed to sprout rubber limbs on demand with his lustrous leather larceny. Through November, the Laval, PQ product assembled an unblemished 6(5-0-1) mark with a miserly, microscopic GAA of 2.07 and scintillating .923 SPCT. His month included a sparkling 5-game win streak which included a pair of key, clutch victories over two-time reigning league champion Fort Wayne and another over second place Port Huron. His last defeat was incurred way back on October 31st. Centomo has started 12 of the 'Jacks first 18-games this season and has posted an overall season mark of 11(7-3-1) with his 7-wins being second most in the IHL. For the season, the 6-1, 196 human puck detour ranks 5th in the league with a 2.49 GAA and .913 SPCT. His home record stands at 7(6-1-0) with his foreign ice log reading 4(1-2-1).
