Port Huron Icehawks News Release
PORT HURON, MI - The Port Huron Icehawks announced that Icehawks players will join the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Christmas Campaign for the third consecutive year and act as bell ringers on three different dates.
Icehawks players will ring the bell to solicit donations for the Salvation Army in front of the Younkers store in the Birchwood Mall in Fort Gratiot on Wednesday, December 2 from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m., Thursday Dec. 3 from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 8 from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.
"The Red Kettle Christmas campaign is a wonderful endeavor that provides assistance to many in the Blue Water Area," Icehawks Vice President/Business Manager Dave Goetze said. "We are pleased to be able to help in a small way."
The campaign is the Salvation Army's most visible fundraising effort of the year. Donations provide Christmas dinners, clothing and toys for families and individuals in need. Financial assistance also helps with basic necessities.
The Icehawks play on the road this week before returning home for games on December 11 and 12. Single game tickets for all Icehawks home games are on sale now at the McMorran Arena Box Office, any Ticket Master location or by phone.
