
Meijer IHL Players Of The Month For November Named

ROCHESTER, MI--- The International Hockey League announced Tuesday that Muskegon left wing John DiPace has been named the Meijer IHL Player of the Month, Flint forward John Mori has been named the Meijer IHL Rookie of the Month and goaltender Sebastien Centomo has been named the Meijer IHL Goaltender of the Month for the month of November.
DiPace completed the month of November scoring eight goals and dishing out 14 assists for 22 points in 12 games played. He had a stellar plus-18 for the month, having gone all 12 games without a minus. Of his 22 points, eight came on the Lumberjacks power play where he scored two goals and had six assists on the man advantage. He recorded a league-high five-game goal streak and an eight-game point streak during the month. DiPace tallied eight multi-point games and scored two game-winning goals for the Lumberjacks. The 27-year-old Clinton Township, Michigan native is currently third in scoring in the IHL with 30 points goals, 20 assists) in 18 total games played so far.
Other players nominated for the Meijer IHL Player of the Month include: Bloomington forward Craig Macdonald, Dayton forward John Snowden, Flint center Jamie Schaafsma, Fort Wayne left wing P.C. Drouin, Port Huron defenseman Daniel Tetrault and Quad City center Mike Zbriger.
Mori finished his first full month of his rookie season registering ten points in 12 games played. He knocked in six goals and had four assists, scoring points in seven of the 12 games. He enters the month of December on a four-game point streak where he has recorded four goals and three assists. Mori had his biggest night of the young season on November 26th, tallying one goal and dishing out two assists in Flints 5-4 loss in Fort Wayne. The 23-year-old Westport, Connecticut native is currently leading all IHL rookies in goals scored with seven and is third in scoring with 12 points goals, 5 assists).
Other players nominated for the Meijer IHL Rookie of the Month include: Bloomington defenseman Jesse Dudas, Dayton forward Jonathon Ornelas, Fort Wayne right wing Sean OConnor, Muskegon goaltender Matt Lundin, Port Huron left wing Mickael Bedard and Quad City center Justin White. wrapped up the month of November with a 5-0-0-1 record. He stopped a total of 155 shots for the month, giving him a save percentage. Centomo has won five straight contests, giving up only 13 goals against for a goals against average of 2.07 in seven appearances. He has logged the third most minutes among netminders, totaling just over 675 minutes. The 28-year-old Laval, Quebec native has won seven of his 12 starts so far this season, which ranks him second among IHL goaltenders. Centomo is currently fifth in the IHL in goals against average and save percentage goaltenders nominated for the Meijer IHL Goaltender of the Month include: Bloomingtons Andrew Martin, Daytons Ryan Mior, Flints Rob Nolan, Fort Waynes Tim Haun, Port Hurons Adam Russo and Quad Citys Kyle Jones.
