Diesel Invite 8 into 2004 Camp

Kearney, Nebraska-The Tri-City Diesel is proud to announce the invitation of eight more athletes into 2004 camp. Included in the eight invitations was three to last year Diesel players; Andre Hatcher, Josh Jacobs, and Paul Stolberg.

Hatcher who is 6'1" 220 pounds has played for the Diesel since 2002 is returning at the running back position. In the last two seasons with the Diesel Hatcher has carried the ball 103 times for 339 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has also caught 19 passes for 134 yards and 1 touchdown

Josh Jacobs, 6'2" 250 pounds also played for the Diesel in 2003 at the Defensive End/Linebacker position. In 2003 Jacobs compiled 13 solo and 9 assisted tackles in only 4 games.

Paul Stolberg, 6'4" 255 pounds also played two positions last year with the Tri-City Diesel, Defensive End and Linebacker. Stolberg had 21 solo and 19 assisted tackles to go along with his 3.5 sacks and 10 tackles for loss in 10 Diesel games. Paul was also voted the teams MVP – Defensive Player of the game twice in the 2003 season.

The first of the Diesel newcomers are headed by 6'3" 315 pound Defensive Lineman, Ricky Gaspar. Gaspar who played his college ball at Linfield College in Oregon was a 3 time-1st Team All Conference Selection, as well as a Division 3 All West Region Lineman. During his three years at Linfield he was a team captain and helped them to a 30-4 record.

Also signing with the Diesel is Defensive End/Linebacker, Brad Lindamood. Lindamood is a 6'1" 240 pounds from Division II Lenior-Rhyne College in North Carolina. During his junior year he led the nation in sacks with 16 and also had 23 tackles for loss while playing Defensive End. His senior year he was moved to Linebacker and tallied 68 tackles, 6 sacks, and 15 tackles for loss.

The Diesel also signed Kicker, Ezequiel Arevalo, 5'9" 185 pounds from St. Mary's College in California. Arevalo was the teams 2nd leading scorer in 2002 and was 10-14 on FG's, with a long of 50 yards.

Alex Neist, a 6'1" 210 pound Quarterback from the University of Concordia-St. Paul will also be in Diesel Camp on February 28th. Neist who spent last season playing for the Minnesota Federals in the GPFL threw for 1600 yards, 25 touchdowns, and led the Federals to a 7-1 record.

To round out the signings is 6'5" 210 pound Wide Receiver, Corey Junious. Junious played at Benedictine University in Illinois and was an All Illini-Badger Conference Wide Receiver in 2002. He caught 31 passes for 595 yards and averaged 19.2 yards/catch in only 8 games in 2002.

The Tri-City Diesel will open up camp on March 2nd and will start gearing up for their first game of the 2004 season in Enid, Oklahoma on March 20th. Single game tickets as well season tickets are on sale and can be purchased by calling the Tri-City Arena Box Office at 308-338-8011.
