February 12, 2004 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
Fort Wayne Freedom News Release

A question on the minds of many Freedom fans this off-season has been the status of all-star defensive end Rachman Crable. The team is pleased to formally announce that Crable will be returning for the 2004 season.

"Rachman was a big part of our defense last year and we expect more great things from him this season," said Freedom head coach Rich Huff. Crable registered 13 sacks in 2003, ranking him fourth in the NIFL. He also finished in the top 5 in tackles for loss, fumbles recovered and forced fumbles. Crable was also the Freedom's second leading tackler with 76, putting him in the top 15 of the NIFL.

Huff added, "Crable was pursued pretty hard by the af2, but chose to stay with Fort Wayne. I'm pretty confident that one important factor was the incredible fan support we receive." The Freedom had an average attendance of nearly 7,800 last season.

The Freedom kicks off the 2004 season Sunday, March 14th at home against the ShowMe Believers. Single game tickets go on sale March 1st at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum ticket office and start at just $5 each. Group tickets may be purchased at the Freedom office or by phone at 260-422-2293.
