
Devil Rays lose series opener

The Princeton Devil Rays lost the opener of their final series of the year tonight against the Elizabethton Twins. The Devil Rays went behind early and were never able to catch the Twins. Princeton pitching gave up numerous walks and three homeruns in the game. The Twins scored twice in the first, four times in the second and three in the third before the Rays brought in their first run in the bottom of the third. Jaria Delarosa singled and scored on another single by Reid Brignac. The Twins continued on a run scoring tirade plating one in the fourth, three in the fifth, and a final one in the seventh. Devil Rays were able to score two in the seventh. It started with a Chris Cunningham double, followed soon after by a Delarosa RBI triple, and concluded with a Bair Irvin RBI double. The two play again at 4:00 pm tomorrow in Princeton.
