
Detroit City's Forbes Called into International Duty for CONCACAF Nations League

DETROIT, Michigan - Forward Billy Forbes of the Detroit City Football Club has been called to international duty with his home country of the Turks & Caicos Islands for the 2022 CONCACAF Nations League from June 3-14.
Forbes has worn the captain's armband for Turks & Caicos going on four years. He is the country's leading goal scorer and second-most capped player in association history - netting eight goals in 15 caps.
Forbes first debuted for his country at the age of 16 - appearing in the 2008 World Cup qualifiers.
CONCACAF Nations League is contested by the senior men's national teams of the member associations of CONCACAF - the regional governing body of North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The United States enters as the defending champions.
The Turks & Caicos Islands will play in League C, Group A :
Match 1: Turks & Caicos Islands vs Bonaire (Home) - June 3, 2022
Match 2: U.S. Virgin Islands vs Turks & Caicos Islands (Away) - June 6, 2022
Match 3: Sint Maarten vs Turks & Caicos Islands (Away) - June 11, 2022
Match 4: Turks & Caicos Islands vs Sint Maarten (Home) - June 14, 2022
Matches are available in the United States via Paramount+.
Turks & Caicos finished second in Group D of League C in the 2019-20 edition of the CONCACAF Nations League - the most recently played. Forbes scored four goals, all coming in two fixtures against Sint Maarten.
Forbes has made six appearances for Detroit City in all competitions this season - starting two. He spent part of the season unavailable with an injury. Forbes has appeared in 120 matches at the USL Championship level since 2017 with 30 goals and 18 assists.
