Detroit City FC Signs Grand Blanc Native Dominic Gasso to a USL Academy Contract

DETROIT, Michigan - Today Detroit City FC has announced the signing of midfielder Dominic Gasso on a USL Academy contract ahead of the 2023 season.

A 19-year-old native of Grand Blanc, Mich., Gasso has previously competed last year for Le Rouge's Academy team at the USL Academy Cup in March. He had previously competed for Vardar Academy and the Flint City Bucks Academy before joining the Detroit City FC U19 Boys Academy team.

Last season Gasso appeared in two matches in the USL Championship for Detroit City FC, making his professional debut away to the Charleston Battery in Le Rouge's 3-0 win on August 27. He made his second appearance on the road in Detroit City FC's 4-0 win against Loudoun United FC in Le Rouge's penultimate match of the regular season where he saw 14 minutes of play.
