
Determined effort falls short in 19th straight game without a win

WICHITA FALLS, TX - In the final game between the two teams this season, the Odessa Jackalopes fell to the Wichita Falls Wildcats by a 4-0 score Saturday at Kay Yeager Coliseum. With the loss, the Jacks fell to 6-49-3 overall this season and with 15 points, remain alone in sixth place in the NAHL's South Division standings.
After a first period Kyle Bauman score, Tyler Ledford buried his ninth goal of the season at 6:16 of the second period before a pair of Patrick Yudez goals down the stretch polished off the 'Cats' 4-0 win. Wichita Falls netminder Evan Cowley impressed in the victory, turning in a 27-save shutout performance in the win to cap off a 52-save weekend.
Next up for the Jacks, it's the final series of the season, as Odessa travels to Corpus Christi to take on the IceRays for a pair of games starting Friday at 7:05 pm at the American Bank Center.
