
Destroyers Sign DL Bryan Henderson And DB Cliff Green

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Destroyers, presented by Germain, have signed defensive lineman Bryan Henderson and defensive back Cliff Green, Head Coach Doug Kay announced today.
Henderson (6-3, 300, NW Oklahoma State) is now in his sixth season in the Arena Football League after spending last season with the Grand Rapids Rampage. The Cincinnati native, has accumulated 57.0 tackles (43UT-28AT), 16.5 sacks, 17 tackles for loss, eight forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 64-career games. The former standout from Northwest High School (Cincinnati), has played for the Rampage (2007), Utah Blaze (2006), Kansas City Brigade (2006), Austin Wranglers (2005) and Arizona Rattlers (2003-04).
Green (5-9, 190, Tennessee State) is a 10-year veteran of the AFL. He has accumulated 282.0 tackles (243UT-78AT), 67 passes defended, 16 interceptions and four interceptions returned for touchdowns. The former First-Team All-Ohio Valley Conference cornerback selection, played in ArenaBowl XV with the Nashville Kats and recorded a game-high 12 tackles and two pass breakups. Several former football greats from The Ohio State University will make a special appearance during Buckeye Football Alumni Night presented by Crawford Communities on Saturday, May 3 when the Columbus Destroyers host the Dallas Desperados at 7 p.m. (ET). Buckeye football alumni scheduled to appear include Craig Krenzel, Mike Vrabel, Maurice Hall, Pete Johnson, Quinn Pitcock, Branden Joe, Andy Groom and T.J. Downing. List of players is subject to change. The pre-game autograph session with the players will begin at 6 and conclude at 6:45 p.m. with the Ohio State alumni located at various stations on the main concourse of Nationwide Arena. In conjunction with the autograph session, the Destroyers will be collecting new or gently used children's books to support the non-profit organization co-founded by Mike Vrabel, the 2nd and 7 Foundation, to promote literacy throughout Central Ohio.
