Storm Take On Rush This Monday

TAMPA - The Tampa Bay Storm host the Chicago Rush on Bill Currie Field at the St. Pete Times Forum this Monday, May 5 at 8:00 p.m. on Russell Athletic ESPN Arena Football Monday (ESPN2, 620 AM-WDAE). The Storm will also host Tampa's largest Cinco de Mayo party presented by Dos Equis.

Two of the top coaches in the Arena Football League, Tim Marcum and Mike Hohensee will match wits and strategy. The two coaches have 35 years of experience as head coaches between them. The game also features two of the top receivers in AFL history, Lawrence Samuels and Damien Harrell as they race to become the first receiver in League history to record 1,000 career receptions.

Monday night's game is Cinco de Mayo night presented by Dos Equis. The festivities kick off at 5:00 p.m. on the Chrysler/Jeep Plaza with live music by Santana tribute-style band Supernatural. Dos Equis will give away hats, t-shirts, beads and wristbands during the pre-game festivities. In addition drink specials will be available on the plaza prior to the game and SuperShuttle will provide, safe rides home for fans after the game.

Win a Trip to Mexico

All fans in attendance will be eligible for a three-night/four-day all-inclusive trip for two to a resort in Cancun provided by Dos Equis. The winner will be selected on the field at halftime.

Cinco de Mayo Ticket Special

Roster Moves

The team signed two players to the practice squad, defensive back Scott Cunningham and wide receiver Derrick Hamilton. Cunningham (6-foot-0, 180-pounds, Tennessee State) is in his second season. He spent 2007 with the Las Vegas Gladiators and led the team with 67 tackles in 11 games. Hamilton (6-3, 206, Clemson) enters his rookie season with the Storm. A third round draft pick by the San Francisco 49ers in 2004, Hamilton played with the 49ers, Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Houston Texans and Denver Broncos.

STORM BROADCAST INFORMATION

Fans can catch the Storm action this week on 620 AM-WDAE "The Sports Animal." Jack Harris and Jason Dixon will call the games as the Storm go after a league leading sixth world championship.

Drew Fellios, Mark Royals and Roxanne Wilder will return next Friday, May 9 to call another action packed Storm game. Join the broadcast crew from Catch 47 as the follow the Storm all season long.

The Tim Marcum Show, "Cookies and Milk" brought to you by Bill Currie Ford, can be heard each Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. on 620 AM-WDAE "The Sports Animal." Coach Marcum is joined by host Drew Fellios as they discuss the previous week's action, what to look for in the upcoming game and other action from around the Arena Football League.

AFL ON ESPN

Russell Athletic ESPN Arena Football action showcases the Tampa Bay Storm and the Chicago Rush. The Storm look to get back into the playoff hunt while the Rush look to earn its first victory against the National Conference. Tampa Bay Storm receiver Lawrence Samuels with one reception will tie the AFL record for consecutive games with a catch at 127 games.
