
Despite Thomas' 46, Battle Creek Upsends Chicago by three

Battle Creek, MI- Despite a PBL season high 46 points from Stanley Thomas, Battle Creek moves to 15-2 on the season with a 123-120 victory over Chicago.
Battle Creek held a 29-13 lead after one, upped the lead to 19 by the halftime intermission, and at one point in the third quarter lead by as many as 22 before the Throwbacks started their comeback. The Throwbacks would outscore the Knights by five in the third, and scored a season high 47 points in the fourth only to come up three points short in the end.
Thomas was Mr. Everything for the Throwbacks adding in nine rebounds and five three pointers. Casey Love had a double double for Chicago with 19 points and 15 boards.
For Battle Creek, whose magic number to clinch home court advantage throughout the playoffs is down to one, Chris Gaines and Kenny Langhorne had 21 points each to lead seven Knights in double figures. Deon Rose was the leading rebounder for Battle Creek with ten.
Up next for the Knights is the Augusta Groove whom they play one week from Saturday in Augusta. Chicago is at home on Sunday to take on Atlantic Division leading Manchester.
