
Demonz Hold Off Bluefins 5-3

DAYTON, OH - The Dayton Demonz defeated the Cape Cod Bluefins 5-3 tonight at the Hara Arena in Federal Hockey League action. The Demonz picked up where they left off in last night's 9-3 victory over the Bluefins with two quick goals to start the first. Luke Flicek scored just 3:02 into the game, followed by Brayden Metz at the 3:22 mark. The Bluefins answered back with a goal from Tyler Howe near the mid-point of the period to go into the 1st intermission trialing 2-1.
The Bluefins dominated much of the second period, scoring two unanswered goals from Tyler Larsen and Matthew Harrington. The Bluefins came into the third period leading 3-2 but proved unable to hold off the Demonz. Jesse Felton scored twice for the Demonz, bookending a Jason Hill goal. Bluefins goaltender Scott Barchard turned away 29 of 34 shots in the loss while Demonz goaltender Jeff Rose picked up another win stopping 35 of 38 shots.
The Bluefins play Wednesday at Danbury before heading to 1000 Islands on Black Friday. Cape Cod returns to home ice to face Danville next weekend, Saturday in Martha's Vineyard and Sunday at the Falmouth Ice Arena. For tickets, please call 508-280-7969.
