
NHL Draft Pick Signs with NY Bluefins

Palm Bay, FL - Today the NY Bluefins are proud to announce the signing of former Washington Capital draft pick Matt Maglione. Matt was an 8th round pick of the Capitals in 2001. The 6'1, 190 pound defenseman has been out of Pro Hockey for a few years tending to family matters. In 99-00 season, Matt was a member of the US National Development Program in the NAHL and also competed on the US National Junior Team that same season. He then went on to Princeton University for 4 years before turning Pro with the PD Pride of the ECHL. Matt's final season in pro hockey was with the Trenton Titans of the ECHL in 05-06. Though out of the pro game for a few years, Matt has the desire to play Pro Hockey once again and continue where he left off. He will bring alot of experience to the team as well as veteran leadership. The coaching staff is pleased to have Matt on the roster for the rest of the season. Matt will make his return to the ice on December 29th when the Fins travel to Danbury. You can watch Matt's return live on the FHL Sports Network.
