
Dashers rush Bluefins

The Danville Dashers lit the lamp three times in the final period to defeat the Cape Cod Bluefins 5-3 tonight at the Martha's Vineyard Arena.
Darick Ste Marie got the Dashers on the board first but the Bluefins tied the game on the power play. Chris Campanale got his sixth goal of the season at 9:02 from George Nicholes and Brian Yanovitch. Taylor Larsen broke the tie for Cape Cod at 2:44 of the second period from Casey Mignone and Tyler Howe. Danville tied the game at 2 but Campanale scored in the last minute of the period from Matthew Harrington. A shorthanded breakaway almost broke the game open for the Bluefins but the countterush tied the game for the Dashers. Danville took the lead two minutes later on a goal from Billy Hunt and Ryan Stern tallied later in the third period to finalize the score. These two teams will play tomorrow afternoon in Falmouth at 3:25 PM. For tickets and more information, please call 508-280-7969.
