Calgary, AB -- Friday, March 17th at the Saddledome, the Saskatchewan Rush dropped an 11-6 decision to the Calgary Roughnecks.

The home side came out firing for St Patty's Day in the first quarter, jumping out to a 4-1 lead with the Rush's lone goal coming from Ryan Keenan.

Calgary would add two more in the second quarter, but Robert Church would get one back for Saskatchewan before the end of the half to cut the lead down to 6-2.

Despite the special teams struggles that saw the Rush go 1/7 on the PP and 1/4 on the PK on the night, Ryan Barnable and Church added tallies in the third and Alex Buque stopped all 10 shots he faced in the quarter, making it a 6-4 game.

Just two minutes into the final frame, Clark Walter would cut the lead down to one for Saskatchewan. But Calgary was able to feed off the home crowd and score five more goals in less than three minutes, cruising to an 11-6 win.

Alex Buque made 32 saves for the Rush, while Christian Del Bianco stopped 32 as well.

Next up, the 5-7 Saskatchewan Rush will host the 9-4 Calgary Roughnecks for the first time this season to the SaskTel Centre on Saturday, March 25th for a 7:30 p.m. start.
